The Patara Horse Riding Stables are situated in the town of Patara in Southern Turkey only 1,5 km from the beach and are home to a variety of breeds including; purebred Arabian horses, Canadian Coloureds, Haflingers & English Thoroughbreds. The most popular tour on offered is the short tour along the sand dunes and beach at Patara which takes around 2 hours and all ages and capability are catered for.
Full day tours are also available starting from Patara and heading direction of Kalkan travelling along The Lycian Way. This day tour passes through the forest where you will see ancient ruins. After the first hour there is a break at a high point on the mountain with a perfect birds eyeview of Patara beach and the ruins the perfect place to take some photographs. The trek continues to one of Kalkan's well loved bays- Firnaz Bay to stop for a swim, rest and a barbecue on the beach before returning to Patara beach to end the tour.
For more avid riders 2-4 day tours can be arranged along the Lycian Way- a less tiring way to explore the hsitorical wonders that litter this ancient trail.
